Ephesians 4:15-16 says, “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” We started our institute so that our church may know God’s Word and apply it to life for the sake of individual growth, Gospel ministry, and personal edification.
Structure
We periodically offer courses and one-day seminars on topics like Systematic Theology, Biblical Theology, and Practical Theology—designed to deepen your understanding of God’s Word and strengthen your walk with Christ.
Cost

“The Book of Books: Appreciating the Bible as Literature”
Teacher: Dr. Karen Jones
Class Description: A popular truism is that “form follows function.” So, looking at the Bible as a work of literature is important to understanding it more fully. It is, of course, not merely literature. But the literary aspects of the Bible do impact our relationship with the Word of God. Real people in real scenarios invite us to experience their lives with them, making our relationship to the truths of God more vibrant and real.
When: August 30-November 12
- We kick off the class with a 4-session in-person seminar on Saturday, August 30, starting at 10:00 am at the GRBC.
- Online Sessions will be held over Zoom Tuesday Evenings from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm on September 2, 16, 23, 30; October 14, 21, 28
- Final session is an in-person session at GRBC on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm, November 12
